This strategy was originally suggested by a Korean user. I translated and modified with my own graphics.

For the final boss (Dark Magician), it is recommended to use any heroes with high toughness (tough enough to ignore the bubbles). Unfortunately, I did not have enough toughness (the damage by bubbles were not ignorable). So, I had a tough time beating the final boss.

The original strategy uploader suggested you to try the first encounter of the boss to check the pattern, and then to try to beat it starting from the next trial.

Here are some patterns of attacks by the Dark Magician. Each attack has a triggering posture. Take a look at the Dark Magician's motion carefully.

You don't want to stay too far away from Dark Magician because you need to watch which motion it makes. Otherwise, it will be very difficult to dodge its attack.

1. Eggs

Dark Magician lays eggs, and small invaders hatch from those. Hatched invaders either attack directly or shoot bubbles. Those invaders are very annoying. Thus, you really want to destroy eggs as many as possible.

-beginning: one egg at a time for 4 times.

-middle: two eggs at a time for 4 times. Unless you are on the far side of the battlefield, it lays two eggs closeby.

-later: two eggs at a time for 4 times. Even if you are on the near-center of the battlefield, it lays two eggs apart from each other. (Still, those are not that far apart if you are on the center of the battlefield.)

2. Meteorite attack

This attack is basically what Red Viper uses. It is relatively easy to dodge.

This attack is the only way you can destroy eggs. Even if the egg is not totally covered by this attack, partial coverage of this attack will destroy eggs. e se

3. Shadow balls

When the Dark Magician take this motion (like holding a shadow ball on his right hand), two shadow balls join to meet at the center (these shadow balls always move horizontally). These shadow balls work like magnets. If you touch one of these, you will get pulled. Luckily, these balls start in the middle 3/5 of the whole battlefield. If you are on either far side, you won't get affected (but I don't recommend this way of dodging except for the very first shadow ball attack).

You want to be familiar with actual dodging because you want to stay near the center of the battlefield before Dark Magician starts to lay eggs (see step 1 above for the reason).

The location of the shadow ball attack is your location ~1 second ago.

This attack repeats 4 times.

Later, there is an additional pattern of this attack. When two shadow balls collide in the center, 6 smaller shadow balls emit into 6 directions.

4. Cross fire

This attack is very strong but easy to dodge if you walk vertically or horizontally. As soon as you find the Dark Magician in this posture (with a green ball), you must walk either vertically or horizontally to dodge. You don't want to run when you dodge. Running may result in bouncing off a wall, which leads to being hit by this attack.

This attack repeats 5 times.

Below is my fight against the Dark Magician without using a gem to continue. (I was lucky because Dark Magician laid eggs nearby almost the whole time.
